A colourful, characterful, Atlantic Seaboard beach bungalow nestled upon the leafy lanes of Llandudno, Coastal Bliss implores you to permanently set your clocks into holiday mode.
Llandudno is renowned for its laidback, barefoot beach vibes that somehow seduce even the most proper of people that frequent this little seaside suburb. An affable, casual community of likeminded residents, dwell amongst this haven of calm, and deem it as the most desirable place to settle. It’s tucked away and secluded, cushioned into the slopes that cascade down to the shoreline, yet within easy access to all of the urban conveniences one might need. For the owners of Coastal Bliss, who stumbled upon their Malibu-mimicking home, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, this hideaway unveiled more than just a dream abode. It was a ticket to a new way of existing. An opportunity to reinvent the internal wheels of wisdom, tranquility and soulful living. A vision of longevity with a healthy reminder to flirt a little more with life – the emphasis on that flirt being as often as possible!
Coastal Bliss emerges from the earth, exposing its layers of timber and screed concrete, glass and ceramic tiles as an authentic, mellow bungalow. A playful palette of vibrant beach colours, earthy textures and quirky pieces of art elevate the living, dining, reclining and entertaining spaces that are set over two levels. Endless streams of natural light flood through the open doors and windows, with little viewing pockets adding to the discernment of the home’s design. The owners – one of which being a distinguished interior designer (evidently!) – employed the skills of an esteemed architect who’s resided in this quaint suburb for many years. Being privy to the micro-climate of Llandudno and its ever-evolving elements, the architect ensured Coastal Bliss has a way of optimising on the magnificent sea views and changing hours of light and moods that come with the coast. Wherever you choose to plant yourself at any given hour, or whichever way you’re looking out, the landscape and its attributes manage to enrapture you in an invigorating embrace.
With its four beautiful bedrooms and additional sleeping areas in elevated, secluded zones of the home, this hideaway accommodates as many as ten of your favourite people. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with that flirty sentiment of letting things go and leaving the strife behind. Kicking off the shoes and heading down to the beach. Perhaps a dip in the pool first. A languid hour in the gorgeous garden, blankets on the lawn or bums on recliners, taking in those tranquil rays that endorse the good life. The long decks and inspiring living spaces beckon your occupation. As will the kitchen that has been ardently appointed in accordance with a chef’s mind, heart and soul. Many a feasting will be prepared in this wonderful cooking space. Overlooking that vast body of blue.
You’ll gather around the tables and fireplaces, swing in hammocks, snooze in armchairs, submerge in bathtubs, rest in those heavenly beds. Drifting out with the changing tide and her pacifying echoes of the waves curling and crashing below. Very little is left to the imagination when it comes to your beach existence at Coastal Bliss. It’s written on the walls, wafting through the air and wandering with you through every evocative space of the home. Reminding you to not take anything too seriously. Especially yourselves. The beauty of beach life is all about savouring the simplicity of the surroundings – with all of the added refinements – and the wonderful people you furnish your holiday with too.
What we love!
- The home exudes personality that’s both familiar and enchanting. The use of the colour palette and the overall discernment illustrated in the interior designer-owner’s expertise makes this home extraordinarily beautiful. You never feel obliged to leave the property – all you need and desire sits within your grasp. Its perfect location – less than a 5-minute walk to the beach – adds to the magic.
- Spending time in the lovely, large garden. Around the swimming pool on the recliners or on the grass beneath the palms and huge lemon tree. Always ready for picking.
- Relishing the tranquility of the neighbourhood and the pacifying feeling of security. Sitting around the supper tables or sunset spots and listening to the beach-goers below, but always feeling pleasantly secluded from it all too.
- Taking in the beautiful views from so many areas around the home, through the branches of the palm trees and across the ocean.
- The kitchen is a great kitchen to cook from. Not only for its state-of-the-art appliances, but for its viewpoint of all of the open areas, always feeling connected to the holiday action.
