Handpicked for you...

If a seaside holiday in a suitably stylish villa is on you and your family’s wish list, Sea Glass certainly ticks the boxes. This magnificent, architect-designed and swanky furniture filled home is perched below Leeukoppie in Llandudno with jawdropping views of the beach and its much loved palm trees below. From here, the water, iconic boulders and beach sands beckon from so many areas of the home and you’ll find it virtually impossible not to pop down for a walk, surf or swim at least once a day. This is exactly why the owners, who are passionate about this picture perfect seaside suburb, love their home so much – especially since there’s an easy 7-minute trail down to the beach that leaves from just across the house.

Being close to the beach is one thing – but staying in a space that enhances every aspect of your holiday is another, and this home does just that.

The open plan kitchen and sprawling designer furniture-dotted living areas are perfect for entertaining en masse while the outdoor, wooden decked barbecue area and sunken fire pit is exactly where you’ll want to settle after a day’s beaching. This home is also perfect for both families and friends staying together – all the bedrooms boast utterly magnificent sea views and there are so many spots for chilling by yourself or in groups too – like the pool area with its impressive granite boulders, the sail-covered, sea-facing deck complete with oversized bean bags and even a movie screen setup in the spacious, fully kitted out and self-contained downstairs flatlet. With the beach so close by and with so many options for chilling and connecting, this beautiful home offers a unique and ultra stylish escape from the rat race into a style-centric alternative reality – one that involves cocktails and meals with a view, waking up to endless ocean horizons, talking late into the night under starlit skies and always – the views and the sound of the sea.

 What we love!

  • View, views and more views of beautiful Llandudno beach and bay
  • The home is designed over three stories with the bedrooms on the top level, living areas in the middle and flatlet on the ground – there is even a lift!
  • The owners are passionate art collectors and the proliferation of pieces by seminal local creatives is impressive. Likewise, original Le Corbusier and Eames pieces sit comfortably amongst the likes of floor cushion pebbles by local felt artist Ronel Jordaan.
  • Fancy a surf? There are boards and wetsuits in the house for your use
  • A wine cellar will keep your local wine farm buys cool until you’re ready to quaff them or cart them home
  • The kitchen is equipped for everything from no frills suppers to fancy dinner parties

What you need to know…

  • The house is very easy to access once you turn into Llandudno itself – no negotiating summer beach traffic
  • It can be arranged for the family’s housekeeper to come in to help during your stay
  • Being on three floors means there are plenty of stairs – and although there is a lift it may not be an ideal bet for very young or elderly guests
  • This house is equipped with an easy-to-use and absolutely state-of-the-art security system
  • There is a locked, private gate that backs onto the mountain reserve behind – great for trail runs and to walk to nearby Sandy Bay
  • The pool is unfenced although there is a separate door to the pool deck that can be locked
