Securely contained within a safe, gated community, settled adjacent to the rolling greens and tall pines of the Hermanus Golf Course, with uninterrupted views of the Mosselberg and Kleinrivier Mountains within the Fernkloof Nature Reserve, and only a five-minute walk from the ocean’s cliff paths, SeaPines is your stamped passport to a blissful holiday in nature.
This hideaway cushions itself into the lush indigenous fynbos, spanning two levels of contemporary living. The verdancy of the abounding nature is captured in the refined furnishings, neutral tones and textures. An eclectic blend of bespoke African collectables with original William Kentridge prints, encyclopaedic libraries flanking the fireplaces, three ensuite bedrooms, a cozy study with a sofa bed, lavish lounging areas and ample dining spaces allowing the open flow of each room to mirror the landscape. It’s subtle, intentional and undeniably international, on African soil with an innate African soul.
SeaPines is the ideal destination for families to settle for weeks at a time, pivoting from their own place of harmony in the buoyant town of Hermanus. You and your clan will be at liberty to traverse the mountain trails, swim in the ocean’s magnificent surf and walk the wandering cliff paths in accordance with the team’s holiday itinerary. You’ll explore the neighbouring seaside hamlets and venture into the quaint village of Stanford and revered wine estates of the Hemel en Aarde Valley. Most importantly, you’ll tap into the sense of freedom that SeaPines so generously embraces you with. Granting the surety that your options are aplenty. Lazy days of sea frolicking and slow morning coffee sipping at Kammabaai, watching the whales and other ocean wildlife bob about in the waves. Golfing afternoons, farmer’s market visiting, gallivanting the hiking and biking trails, swimming in the nature reserve’s natural pools, ocean sailing and kayaking or simply settling beside the heated swimming pool, watching the paraglider parade over the mountain tops as you dip in and out of a novel. With the property facing north, you’ll be perfectly protected from the prevailing winds that occasionally blow. SeaPines cocoons you in its luxurious limbs and pacifies you with the stillness of its surroundings. As the sun begins to settle for the day, you’ll venture onto the footpaths once again, for an evening tipple at Sievers Point. Or a quiet meander around the golf course with the resident springbok; sauntering the greens as if no one’s watching. Lovely bistros and seafood spots await you and your clan in the town for a night of feasting, overlooking the harbour. On the evenings of quiet respite, you’ll resort to the comfort of your own Hermanus hideaway, beside the flames of the barbecue sharing platters and tales of the days gone by, eagerly anticipating all that’s still to come.
