Eclectic elegance
An Afro-bohemian styled Victorian charmer in the heart of the Robertson Valley in the Cape winelands.
When a touch of drama is required, the daring, carefully curated interiors of The Black House deliver. Nestled in a lush garden on the Jacaranda-lined avenues of the charmingly-named valley of wine and roses, this meticulously updated Mod-Victorian gem is just a two hour drive from Cape Town.
Any brief requiring strong original facade with whimsical and layered vignettes is amply provided for. The kitchen with its gleaming Oregon floors, offset with a black kitchen island, copper tapware and a salmon pink edged crystal display cabinet, ensures an opulent yet charmingly rustic food shoot. Another eminently suitable location is the azure lap pool, beautifully framed by a row of towering cypress trees and its adjacent charcoal-hued patio area perfectly accentuated with pops of bright afro-decor.
Alternatively, all the moody winter looks are perfectly framed by bold colour choices, gleaming treasure collections and roaring fireplaces.
If you are on the lookout for unique elements and the definition of artistic space, then The Black House has you covered.
This shoot location works for:
