Exclusive luxury seaside lodge
Where luxury marries mellow utopian living, Mozawi Lodge, on the San Sebastian peninsula, within the Vilanculos Wildlife Sanctuary of Mozambique is your ticket to paradise.
You know that question, when someone asks you if you could be anywhere in the world in that moment, where would you choose to be? Well, Mozawi Lodge will likely be your answer. “Why?”, they might ask. Because it encapsulates everything you would want from a secluded, seaside destination. An exclusive lodge, that rests immediately upon the San Sebastian Peninsula shoreline. Chaperoned by an eternal body of dreamy, transparent waters, that marble tones of turquoise. A raw and rugged terrain that’s as wild as your holiday hair becomes. Ensconced in the outlandish landscape of the Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary. All yours to share with as many as fourteen of your favourite people. The beach, the boma, the sundecks, the eighteen-metre swimming pool. The six luxurious suites and their indoor and outdoor bathrooms. The sunset lounge, the swinging hammocks, the swaying daybeds and that incredible bar. The courtyard, the meandering wooden pathways, the palm trees and the sand. The sunrises, the sunsets and the stars. The salty sea air and all of the memories that you’ll create, will be yours. All of it, wrapped up in a beautiful capulana bow.
It’s inevitable you’ll leave this tropical paradise a better person than the one that arrived. Because of the slow days that somehow dish up an extra hour or two. Thanks to all of the activities and island excursions you’ll be enjoying around the clock. The endless array of water sports – windsurfing, sailing, snorkelling, diving and swimming with dolphins. Wading about in the water with turtles, rays, a kaleidoscope of marine life and the occasional eland! Yes, the resident antelope love a little sunset dip, too. Island hopping, deep-sea fishing and sunset dhow adventures. Game drives inland to the sanctuary, where you’ll spot zebra, wildebeest, kudu and eland. The birdlife will blow the lens of the binoculars! The lakes and special picnic spots add to the spectacle that unravels as you explore the peninsula.
Swinging in the mangroves
For all of the other twenty-odd hours left in the day, you’ll make the most of the immediate surroundings and comfort of Mozawi Lodge. Relaxing massages on the beach, beneath the palms and surrounded by mangroves. Plenty of delicious feasting around the tables. Beside that spectacular pool or on the beach at the sunset spot. Where the fire is lit in the evenings. Its flames mirroring the colours of the sky. With every meal, you’ll enjoy a different view from a new dining location. As if the lodge has transformed into a new destination, day after day. Savouring the ambience of the landscape. For those that need to tend to some work, there’s a very inspiring space that sits above the lodge, in an open room that’s very versatile. Put a mat down and do some morning rituals or enjoy the solitude of the room that overlooks the vision of blue. The staff and the service that comes with it just keeps adding to the blissful existence that Mozawi Lodge encapsulates. No wonder it’s on the wish list of that one place to be in that given moment! You’re one of those fourteen favourite people that will be lapping up the luxury of a sublimely authentic Mozambican getaway.
